Experience
Aside from being an IB Visual Arts teacher from Victory Christian International School (SY 17-18, SHS), I am also contending to be an IB Examiner. I have also been an Art teacher for Grades 9 & 10 and have developed my own curriculum, patterned after the IB Diploma Programme. With these strengths, I aim to create benchmarks as to how each student can further develop both as a student artist and an IBDP candidate in the most excellent way possible. I have also been an EE supervisors for 2 year levels now, heavily supervising in subject specific research questions in Visual Arts and Language and Literature (especially if the LangLit EE contains visual art elements, such as a film or tv show) On top of being a teacher, I am also a practicing visual artist and the founder of Woman, Create, a Philippine based arts platform that I developed, which has spearheaded initiatives and contributed to the local art scene (see @womancreate on Instagram) in relation to sparking feminist consciousness locally. Through Woman, Create, I have experienced crafting carefully thought-of courses for one-on-one art tutorials, as well as, multiple art workshops, which are still ongoing today. These workshops incorporate both Art Thinking (concepts and context) and Art Making (technique and skill development). I have both led and joined various talks in various universities and a TEDxtalk last 2015. In addition to being excellent in IB Visual Arts, I also have the capability to instruct young students on how to turn art as a credible and legitimate career track for the near future, something that is not yet widely open or familiar to most here in the Philippines. Portfolio-making for universities, crafting business ideas and networking are just some important assets and lessons I include to any interested student. My previous jobs also include being immersed in world-renowned advertising agencies, such as McCann Worldgroup Philippines and iflix Philippines. I also excel in Design, which is definitely something I would like to pass onto my students. I am excellent in English, growing up in an international school in Japan and rendering an IELTS overall band mark of 7.5, C1 Level. I would like to be tutor because I believe in exemplifying the IB motto of developing lifelong learners among the youth. This belief goes beyond the classroom. I would like continue contributing to the lives of students in this way, helping them excel in the best possible way, especially in a specific subject that I have excelled in and have gained much credit in here in the Philippine art industry; but is a subject that I know most students struggle with, especially if they have been trained to think of art as just a means to "express" and not really viewed as a means to critical thinking and overall development, as how IB requires.

Hobbies
I am creative, free-spirited, passionate critical thinker. I persevere and determine to participate in contributing to greater things. I am always in search for meaning and find this through Art. By excelling in Art, everything else can follow - excelling in business, in teaching, in whatever standard or track one aims to pursue or become. I love consuming media, such as literature, films & shows, and art, and critically analyzing them. One of my greatest assets is my love for critical analysis of various mediums. Much of my background and foundation as a teacher and visual artist stems from my training in this. Overall, I aim to inspire and empower the youth, and I aim for local Philippine art to proliferate through the contributions of young student artists. Currently, I am working on my personal projects via my own art brand, such as zine & book-making, writing essays to advance feminism in the Philippines and developing my own clothing line. I love traveling and cats.
