Experience

I am currently living and teaching English in Spain but I also accept online jobs as well. Teaching is one of my passions. I was trained to teach a foreign language and do translations in my program. In my last semester, I did a research which served as my undergraduate thesis entitled: La lectura semiótica de la tristeza en una selección de poesías de Licsi, which is about sadness in the poems of a Filipino author named Federico Espino. In my M.A thesis, I worked on a thesis about culture shock experienced by Filipino immigrants in Tarragona which was about a cultural workshop for this target group. I love being a tutor because I get to help students learn or improve their target language which I am good at. I also get to share my experiences as a scholar and my passion in languages. I was a recipient of a scholarship in Europe and studied La civilización española y latinoamérica in Nice, France from 2012-2013. Aside from that, I earned my B2 certificate in the French language from the Université de Nice Sophia Antipolis in France after a year.

Hobbies

One of my passions is travelling. In fact, I have been to several countries in Europe and learned so much about the people and their culture. I normally share my experiences when I teach my students as learning a language for me is also learning a culture. Being a student in France, I was able to travel to Spain, Italy, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Greece, Hungary , Czech Republic and the UK.
