Experience
I'm previously a Grade 12 Math teacher in Ateneo High School 2015-2016 I passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers (2014) rating: 87.5 I'm a freelance tutor since 2008 I teach my students HOW to think not just WHAT to think. I use discovery method and induction in my teaching. I also use student-centered approach. I adjust my speed and style based on their level. As a Math teacher, I can make complicated concepts simple and vice-versa. When they are having difficulty with the usual process of solving problems, I equip them with shortcuts and tricks in which I've proven effective. I take into consideration the learning style my students. There are 3 major learning styles: visual, auditory and kinesthetic. It is crucial to detect how they learn best. I mainly operate on the basis of Piaget's principles on cognitive development. He emphasized that children learn best when they are active and seek solutions for themselves. He suggests that children need to have self discoveries and achieve understanding by themselves. I specialize in Singaporean Math.
