Tutoring Credentials: August 2014 — present Peer Volunteer Tutor Learning Resource Center University of the Philippines Manila I have been a tutor of various grade school, high school, and university students for five years to lighten the burden of our household expenses and to help me fund my college education. Despite the fact that I am a political science major, my main inclination is Mathematics. I can speak and write fluently in Filipino and English. If the student asks to be tutored on a particular lesson, I plan always for a teaching strategy, because, in my observation, students nowadays have lesser attention span than before. I honestly tell the clients right away if I cannot help a student on a particular lesson or assignment, so that he or she will never have to pay me if he or she cannot learn anything from me. (In short, I never, ever pretend. But, if the student is really eager to learn, I will study the lesson even without any prior knowledge of it, and I devote a lot of time for this). I am indeed patient and friendly to students even if they are having a hard time comprehending the lessons.
