I tend to use analogies that deconstruct complex math and stat topics into simpler, easy-to-understand representations. I don't shy away from using appropriate modern tools (apps, math-based websites, simulations, etc.), especially if it will boost the capacity of my tutees to absorb the concepts they need to learn. Nowadays, I typically teach via video conferencing apps. I occasionally accept face-to-face tutoring for students who live in near proximity to my location.
