Experience
TESTIMONIALS FROM RECENT TUTEES ---------- From my grade-12 tutee: "Tutor Marvin had shown mastery on disciplines such as Physics and Chemistry. He was able to simplify the topics, where he tirelessly repeated his explanations to ensure that I would understand specific lessons that I was confused on. He was hands-on in ensuring that I am able to answer problems on my own (including improving my speed in solving problems) and in helping me in my homeworks. Even though he had to tutor me on two disciplines, he was able to juggle them well and had a plan in mind on how to tackle them and how long we will be dwelling on the topic...Overall, Tutor Marvin will ensure that you are able to keep up in your class." -Richard Lawrence Lance Jao, Salutatorian, SY 2017 to 18 (Makati Hope Christian School) ********** From my NMAT reviewee: "I had NMAT tutorials with Sir Marvin for physics, chemistry, and math. Aside from teaching me what I needed to know for the 3 subjects, he also taught me how to efficiently answer the given problems so I can solve them more quickly. He is very professional and knowledgeable in science and math. He accommodated my learning needs and made sure that we maximized each tutoring session. He was also approachable whenever I had clarifications or difficulties during the session regarding a certain topic. I definitely recommend him if you need a tutor for science and math! He helped me a lot during my reviews. Really grateful that I had him as my tutor! -Krizia Valero, Occupational Therapist who was preparing for October 2021 NMAT. ********** From my grade-9 tutee's parent: "Marvin has been teaching my son from more than a year now. He taught my son science in grade 9. Apart from having a thorough knowledge about the subject, he is really good in explaining it. He made my son gained interest in the subject by explaining to him the basics of it." -Pratibha Vohra, mother of Ishaan (Ishaan finished grade 9 with science award, SY 2017 to 18 at Mahatma Gandhi International School) ********** WORK EXPERIENCE ---------- #Science Content Writer in APEC Schools (August 2019-present) • Writing high school educational learning modules for science to be used by students in all APEC Schools branches. ********** #Academic Consultant for Science (May 2016 -June 2017) MSA Academic Advancement Institute • Taught HS and College entrance reviews for Science • Taught College Physics to UP and Ateneo tutees • Taught High School Science Subjects ********** #Math and Science Tutor (2013-2015) Boundless Steps Tutorial Services • Taught elementary and high school level Math and Science, and College Physics through home tutoring ********** ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT ---------- #Philippine Normal University (2012-2016) • D.O.S.T.
